The Greasy-face School


One of my favorite paintings is called Comfortable Place by Milk Kobayashi, and my friend recently showed me this article related to the artist that made me laugh. It compares a bunch of artists like Malcolm Liepke, Michael Carson, and Milk Kobayashi and draws the parallel between their style of drawing of really oily-looking faces. “In light of all this, I now proclaim a new school of painting: the Greasy Face School. In support, I humbly offer the examples below.”
